A Day of Fun n' Games...mostly

Today has been a fun day indeed!
This morning, most of the crew did some more work with the cement and brick work on the additional handicap spaces of the compound. Some prepared and set up for the carnival we put on this afternoon for the kids.
It was so much fun seeing happy faces and excitement as we ran games, gave out prizes, and just had a blast with the kids and leaders!
All are well and looking forward to what God has in store this coming week! Thank you for your continued prayers!

Concrete and Photos!

Today was a muggy day with clouds and little rain. Everyone has been working great and really pounded out a lot today.
The photo team got through all by 4 grades, which is quite a feat, and the construction crew has been working tirelessly moving around cement and working with rebar. We also prepared for the carnival we'll be hosting in the community tomorrow, which we are getting excited about.
Check out some photos from today here!

Made it!

We rolled in around 5pm Dominican time last night, in a travel fog. We were welcomed with a delicious dinner and familiar faces that opened arms to us.
Today, some will be working on the project here at the compound and others will be taking school and sponsorship pictures for the kids as well as working on a carnival we'll be putting on in the community VBS tomorrow.
We'll post more and pictures later! Thank you for your continued prayers!

Gifts for Your Sponsor Child(ren)

As another team is getting ready for takeoff on Thursday, they will also be preparing for games and fun with the kiddos they visit while there. The team will be putting on a fun carnival for the kids in the community, handing out goodies and toys, and hopefully building relationship with old and new friends.
Another way the kids are reached is through the sponsorship program organized by Careforce. Each trip, we get an opportunity to visit not only our own sponsored kids, but the kids sponsored by others back at home who couldn't make the trip.
We found a GREAT article on buying for your sponsor child(ren)! Click here to see it.
If you want the team to take a gift down for your child, please mark it clearly with your child's full name and your name, and have it to Mason County Reformed Church no later than Tuesday at 4pm, this week.
Thanks for praying and supporting these kids who are in great need of not only things, but relationships.

Take off this Week!

It's hard to believe, but the January team is taking off this coming Thursday morning! We'll be posting updates and photos here throughout the trip!
Please be praying for health, safety, and hearts as we prepare to go! Thank you for all of your support and prayers thus far!
