Today, as the team sees their surroundings for the first time, or the first time this year, in daylight, pray that they have God's eyes on. The first look at the community and the area around us always made us realize why we were truly there, no matter how many times we'd seen it before. There is always something new. A different kid that hits your heart in a different way. A house you never noticed before that's barely held together. A different way of doing something. There is just always something that struck me on that first look in broad daylight. It is that thing that always made it so incredibly and brutally real to me.
So today, pray for the team that they really find the reason why God brought them there individually. Pray that there will be open hearts and light shone.
