Days off and Working Hard!

Hey all!
Sorry I haven't been keeping up with this blog as much as I should be!
The team is still going strong, and even enjoyed some needed time off yesterday (Sunday). The crosses that were built for the Open Walls church were hung and dedicated, as Gene shared with the congregation, with some translating help from Luchy.
Sunday, the team spent some time at Tres Ojos, which are beautiful caves with 3 lakes, as well as spent some time at the old city in Santo Domingo, soaking up the culture and shopping.

Today, they were back to work, painting and even teaching some classes (Jacki, at least was), as well as handed out the photos we took of each student back in January.
Keep praying and sticking to the blog here for more!

Getting Ready for More

The team seems to be doing great!
Worked through their first day yesterday, at the Open Walls Church. Of course there was some fun to be had as well!
Today, they're getting ready for some more. Keep praying! Thanks all!

The crosses will be hung up at the church today!

In Los Alcarrizos

The team has made it to the DR, minus one. John had to return from Detroit with a bad rash that wasn't improving. Such a bummer for him, but he is home safe and hopefully healing!
Gene reported that the cross pieces for the church have made it as well.
They are all tired, I'm sure from a long day of travel, but are there! Keep praying for health, safety and growth!

Small, but Mighty Team!

Another small, but mighty team is heading to the Dominican Thursday! They will head down to Detroit on Wednesday, and catch their flight the next morning. Be in prayer for each of them in health and in ministry! We are excited for them to follow up with the church, school and look ahead to what is coming for the community of Los Alcarrizos!
Check back here for updates as they are away!

We prayed over the team this past Sunday to send them out!
