All sales are by donation, so you name your price! You won't find better deals anywhere else!

Study and Yard Sale!

The Dominican Team will be studying the book Radical by David Platt. This study is open to ANYONE! Join us 1st and 3rd Tuesdays of the month for the study. (The next one is October 16) 7pm at MCRC.

There will also be an indoor yard sale coming Saturday, November 10th at MCRC!
Clean out for winter and donate your gently used items to the sale! Toys, clothes, books, household goods, electronics, baby items, etc. We'll take it! You can start donating your items to MCRC on Thursday, November 8th. Hope to see you at the sale that Saturday from 8am-2pm too!

Western Michigan Fair

That's right! The fair is right around the corner, and the Dominican Team is looking for your help!
We have some shifts to be filled. The team will be again working the fair gates, selling entrance tickets and running the concessions in the grand stands during events.
This is an opportunity that we always look forward to. The fair is definitely one of our most anticipated fund raising events. Everyone always has a blast working this one. Don't miss out! Contact MCRC to sign up for a shift soon! This is a great, easy way to support the Dominican Republic Outreach.

Summer 2012

This summer is packed with team fund raisers! Stop by one of the following events to support and visit us!

June 30-July 1: Freedom Festival Art Fair - We'll be selling goodies from our newly-acquired trailer! Come check it out and buy some food while you shop around the art fair.

July 24-July 28: Western Michigan Fair - The team will once again be down at the fair gates and in the grand stands in their red shirts, selling tickets and food! Come see us at one of the grand stand events and treat yourself to some cotton candy.

Home!

We've made it home safe and sound! Now comes catching up on sleep and getting back into the routine of life. Thanks for all your prayers and support! We'll post more pictures soon!

Coming Home!

Hi everyone!
I'm so sorry about the long gap between posts. We had our day off and were out of town yesterday, and didn't have internet access this morning.
We are leaving the camp at 3am tonight/Friday morning. Our flight departs at 6am, and we'll be back in the states no later than 9am, depending on flight delays and such.
We appreciate the prayers and we look forward to sharing more soon! The internet is very poor at the moment, so I'll post pictures when it is better.

Trust in the Lord

We are spending the day relaxing after spending the morning at church. The service was about trusting in the Lord and praying to Him for what we need.
We've had some powerful devotional times as a team. Everyone has been opening up and sharing deep things that pertain to the devotions. Jeff has done a wonderful job leading. We are truly coming together as a wonderful team and bonding well.
Please be in prayer for the Conrad family as they found out today that Pete's dad passed away. Though there are many ups and down on the team, we know that God is in contol and we can trust in Him to grow and take care of us.
Thanks for all your prayers and support back home for our team. We are comforted in the fact that we have that support back home.

We are all doing great! Today, some of us worked on mixing concrete and others had the opportunity to go help teach English at the school.

We're Here!!!

Hi friends!
Just want to send you a quick update that we've made it to the Dominican!
We made it into the camp about 1:15am this morning. This morning we had the opportunity to tour the community of Los Alcarrizos and hang out with some of the kids. It was truly rewarding to walk along with the kids and see how different things are.
Just a quick update for now, but we'll get some pictures up as soon as we can! Thanks for your prayers! We are all doing great!

Packed Up

The team spent some time packing up tonight. We met and weighed bags, arranged packing, bonded, organized, did final confirmations and paper work, and now we are anticipating our take off on Thursday morning from MCRC.

43 Days Until Take-Off

It's unbelievable how quickly our 2012 trip is approaching! The excitement is building, as I could tell from our team meeting last night. Everyone is asking questions, joking around, and taking the spiritual side of the trip more and more seriously.
Please be in prayer for the people in the Dominican we'll be encountering and working with, the project and for God's will to be done in every aspect, and for the individuals on the team for health, safety, and growth.
