Olivia: I always looked at the big DR
family and thought to myself, “Man, I wish I could be a part of it.” I never
really thought that I would get the chance to join and go on a trip, but this
Spring it is happening! It couldn’t be better timing either, with my senior
year I could tell God wanted to give me something to put new richness and
perspective into my faith before I head off into the world. I am ecstatic, God
is giving me this opportunity to grow stronger in my faith, and experience a
heart to serve in a place that needs his light. I look forward to creating
lasting bonds with the people I will meet, impacting people’s lives with
service, and fulfilling God’s will to go out and be his people; to do good
works in his name.
Jackson: Some things I would like to get from this trip are the following: I want to see the world and know how they live in the Dominican, to grow my faith in God, and I want to help small communities that need his love. Aside from a huge learning experience, I think the trip will be tons of fun and I am very excited!
